a while back and added a patch to add initial support for template
interpolation/tags in _javascript_. I thought I would open this thread to
continue the discussion from the bug report.
GJS is still interested in supporting template interpolation/tags in _javascript_. This issue (
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gjs/-/issues/374)
tracks our current proposal. Our next release is in March and we'd love
to consider including such an API but we'd first like to ensure that
this is something xgettext would be open to supporting. As Philip
explained in the bug report, GJS projects often mix _javascript_ and C so
xgettext is the translation tool of choice for GJS projects.
I am new to the Savannah/GNU workflow, so if I did anything incorrectly when submitting the patch I am happy to fix it.
