[bug-gettext] autopoint and GREP_OPTIONS

Hi,

A while ago someone complained to me

about GREP_OPTIONS=-n breaking autopoint:

$ GREP_OPTIONS=-n autopoint
autopoint: *** Missing version: please specify in configure.ac through a line 
'AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION(x.yy.zz)' the gettext version the package is using
autopoint: *** Stop.
autoreconf: autopoint failed with exit status: 1

The user has GREP_OPTIONS=-n set in his shell environment
and apparently autopoint doesn't like that.
Should autopoint unset GREP_OPTIONS and maybe other similar envvars too?
Or is there a better solution or workaround to this problem?
