Hi. Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this question.
Gawk is in the progress of growing a new API for "extensions" - shared
objects that can be loaded into the running gawk executable and provide
functions callable from awk. Said functions can also pass info into gawk.
My question has to do with translations of messages inside the shared
objects. For the few examples that will ship with gawk, I can do the
work to have their strings processed and included in gawk.pot.
But what about extensions developed elsewhere? Is there a way to for
them to tell gettext: besides looking in the messages catalog that you
were first told about, ALSO look in my message catalog?
Thanks!
