Your question is unclear. In any case, it is well documented in the
manual that identifiers consist of one or more letters followed by zero
or more letters or digits. A digit is one of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,
8, 9. A letter is any of a-z, A-Z, or _ (underscore).
>From your emails, it sounds like you would benefit from spending some
time reading the gawk documentation. A large number of potential questions
are answered there, and you will save time for both yourself and the
other members of this mailing list if you invest some time in reading
the documentation.
