Would prefer both actually but if I'm going to be making a merge/sync
request in my distribution (on Ubuntu) would need the changelogs.

Most of the sites have a place where the release notes as well as
changelog is there.

For an e.g.

This one is pretty sparse, usually they are pretty verbose.
