[bug #57461] Configure leaves directory trees that cannot be removed on

From: Peter Dyballa
Subject: [bug #57461] Configure leaves directory trees that cannot be removed on PowerPC Mac OS X 10.5.8, Leopard

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #57461 (project findutils):

I was able to remove the directories trees from the command line manually. I
don't know what a "snapshot" is. What I can report is that some last few
findutils releases show this behaviour.

The software is installed via MacPorts. It uses port to install a software
package, a so-called "port." As far as I understand the system it fetches from
the internet a compressed TAR file, compares its size to a value recorded in
Portfile and also creates rmd160 and sha256 check sums of the downloaded TAR
file. When they are equal to values recorded in Portfile the installation
process starts.
