Follow-up Comment #4, bug #30504 (project findutils):
That's why the documentation, at the moment, says this:
--max-procs=max-procs
-P max-procs
Run up to max-procs processes at a time; the default is 1. If
max-procs is 0, xargs will run as many processes as possible at
a time. Use the -n option with -P; otherwise chances are that
only one exec will be done.
If there is a consensus on the list for an alternative approach (for example
launching a child as soon as (fewer than max-procs children are executing) and
(at least one argument has not been consumed) then I'll consider working on
it.
