Follow-up Comment #6, bug #23742 (project findutils):
It looks like someone submitted a patch to Cygwin last year to fix this, but
it accidentally got dropped. Today I opened a bug report at
http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=6760 asking them to apply the
patch. --Jason
