Follow-up Comment #5:
This was the result of a cygwin-local patch in 4.3.2 trying (incorrectly) to
work around the brokenness of -execdir; with the cygwin 4.3.5 precompiled
version, the -execdir issue was fixed upstream, so the cygwin-local patch is
no longer present, and I no longer see the issue. I'm marking this closed.
