Fixed Release: 4.2.1
Summary: findutils fails to build under AIX with Automake-1.8.5.
Original Submission: Thank you for the info. I am not familiar to build
findutils using the
CVS code. I followed the instructions in README-CVS but failed at point 4:
aclocal
[...]
/usr/local/contrib/share/aclocal/cole.m4:18: warning:
underquoted definition of AM_PATH_COLE
aclocal: macro `jm_AC_TYPE_LONG_LONG' required but not defined
But may be I have had automake-1.8.5 not correctly installed.

Marked postponed, pending a response (so that I know which other bugs I can
work on without getting further information).

I've just tried building the CVS code with automake-1.8 and automake-1.9. A
fix to locate/testsuite/Makefile.am was needed for the latter, but I didn;t see
the problem you have. I have however fairly recently changed the way that we
import gnulib code. Would you be able to retest after updating your code once
again from CVS? Thanks.
