If you could test the current CVS code, that would be very iseful.  A
few weeks ago, I applied a patch which affects the way that offsets
are read on some systems including Solaris.  So it would be really
helpful if you could download the code via anonymous CVS and see if
that solves the problem.  Would you be able to do this?
