Hi James

I had some problems compiling from CVS so I downloaded ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/findutils/findutils-4.1.20.tar.gz. It compiled and ran on Solaris 8 with only a minor hiccup.

The hiccup arose because we had libiconv.so in /usr/lib and libiconv.so.2 in /usr/local/lib but /usr/local/lib wasn't in the search path for libraries. It looks as if configure checked for libiconv.so and created Makefile to use -liconv but locate when compiled needed libiconv.so.2.

I have fixed this in CVS - could you test it, please (I don't have a
Solris 8 box to test this on)?
