Hello Scott,

Scott Dwyer wrote:
I would like to make people aware of a new bash script that can find what files are related to bad sectors. It is posted in the Ubuntu forum as "gnuddrescue utility script". I wrote it because I couldn't find one that did what I wanted it to do. It is much faster than the traditional grep or md5sum method, and does not require writing to the target. It uses different methods that I found that had not (fully) been put into script yet. I think it will be very useful to some. Feedback is welcome.

Thanks for the script and the links. If the methods used by your script do not depend on external utilities, maybe they can be incorporated in ddrescuelog.

Best regards,
Antonio.
