I'm about to roll up my sleeves and write some Python to parse the ddrescue log and then try to use fdrawcmd to pull off the sectors while ignoring CRC errors.

Would be useful for you the badblocks format proposed by Valerio Messina?

And what do you think about "ddrescuelog" as the name for a program which would implement parsing tasks like that? (Suggestions are welcome).


Has anyone ever done anything like this?
