This was already in the PROBLEMS file for a long time :-)

Statically link as stated above. Actually it is only
neccessary to statically link libXm, so if you exchange
-L/usr/lib/Motif1.2 -lXm
with
/usr/lib/Motif1.2/libXm.a
in the link step DDD works fine.
