I think the only outstanding issue left that I want to see fixed for a 1.8 release is the making trailing whitespace in -W mode not count as a delimiter thing; I haven't had a chance yet to look at the latest version of that patch.

Hey all,

Just letting you know that the process has run its course, and I've been added as an admin for GNU Datamash. It seems like there is a lot to learn, so I'm not rushing into anything, but I hope to get out a pre-release for people to start testing v1.8 within a couple of weeks.

In the process, we heard from Assaf. He has been busy, but surviving, so we don't need to worry. He is still on the books as a datamash admin, so one day we might see him around here again if things calm down.

Thanks for your patience and I look forward to working with everyone who wants to use or contribute to GNU Datamash.

Kind regards,
