Hello we are trying to make cvs with ssh client working and it apparently hangs
everytime using bash shell or tcsh.
We would like to re-install and review the manual if one exists for cvs on
z/OS system.

I would appreciate it, if you can assist in getting me manual and as well any
feedback to cvs on z/os systems and anythings we have to do special.

Thank You in advance.

Jasi.

THE CVS manual is:
http://ftp.gnu.org/non-gnu/cvs/source/stable/1.11.23/cederqvist-1.11.23.html.tar.bz2
or
http://ximbiot.com/cvs/manual/

but they don't tell how to build on z/OS... if you have a reasonably normal build chain available you probably can get the source and follow the "Installation:" section of the README file
source is available at:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/cvs
http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/cvs/source/stable/

does the test in the following email give you similar results?
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-cvs/2005-07/msg00032.html

if so then the script at the end of this email MIGHT be of use to you.
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-cvs/2005-09/msg00050.html

or getting CVS 1.12.13 or CVS 1.11.22
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-cvs/2005-09/msg00266.html
Though I don't see a comment for it being fixed in 11.22 or 11.23
http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/ccvs/NEWS?view=markup&root=cvs&revision=1.116.2.170
or even in 12.13
http://cvs.savannah.gnu.org/viewvc/cvs/ccvs/NEWS?view=markup&content-type=text%2Fvnd.viewcvs-markup&revision=1.341

Good luck.
