Well, I went ahead and I applied my xasprintf() and const patches to
the head of the tree and I am testing them. I will send them shortly.

I am referring to symlinks in $CVSROOT. I will test this.

No, you are right. I this indeed is present now.

Right. Of course this is what started all the xasprintf() rototilling, since
the code is littered with assumptions that this is constant...
