Yes and no.  I'm not sure how closely WinCVS's CVS corresponds to the
standard CVS source code.

As I said, the error message you reported ("Disconnecting: Corrupted MAC
on input.") does not appear in the CVS source code and thus is almost
certainly not being generated by CVS.  The suggestion to run with
tracing enabled (the global -t option) is a good one -- the problem is
most likely in some local script being run by CVS, and that should give
you a good clue as to which one.
