Thanks for the reminder.
I've written a NEWS entry, adjusted the "author" and attributed
your changes in the log. I still don't like how I've hard-coded
things in the new test, but have pushed this nonetheless.

* src/ls.c (main): With --color, avoid emitting the final color-
resetting escape sequence when it would be a no-op.

C de-Avillez rebased and adapted four of the new sl-dangle*
tests in tests/misc/ls-misc.
