Yep, BSD has had it for quite some time:

In fact, it was mentioned in thread 3 years ago:

Besides, it is consistent with many other tools that use -h to mean
operation on symlinks proper (even though POSIX 2008 forgot to add 'touch
- -h'), including these from POSIX: chown, chgrp, file

[I still have 'chown -h' on my todo list...]
