But you are asking about 'diff'.  I am sorry but this is the wrong mailing
list.  We do not maintain 'diff' here; rather, it is part of the GNU
diffutils project.  You are better off mailing 'address@hidden';
the address reported by 'diff --help'.

Meanwhile, in response to your question, I'm not exactly sure what you are
proposing.  Some examples of input that you plan on diff'ing, along with
expected output, to better explain what you mean by numeric diff, may be
worthwhile.

Or, you may be interested in reading the documentation on the sort
program, which already has a number of features related to sorting lines
in various numerical orders.
