I´m running coreutils 6.9.92.4-f088d-dirty (dirty??), and I found a bug. I´m
using the function of asking for a date some month ago. For example date
--date="-2 month" +%Y%m%d. And when doing that on the first o june 01:00, I got
the answer march 31, instead of April 1. I´ve checked som alternatives, like
using nn month ago, instead of a negative number of month. But the result is
the same. I got the same result if I asked about 12 or 14 month ago, but not 13
or 11 month ago. It seems like if I ask for a number of month back, it should
always be the first of a month, But it isn´t. It could be the 31 or 3 of a
month. Obviously depending of the number of days in the months. It doesn´t
count a number of month backwords. But a number of days, not calculating
correctly how many days the different days have. It seems to happen on a even
number of month back.
This is my first bug-report, so I hope I reported in a good manner.
