A funny thing happens on Sundays if you are Chinese.
$ LC_CTYPE=zh_TW.utf8 date -d sunday
日 12月 10 00:00:00 CST 2006
The problem occurs because the word 日 means "Sunday" and also "day"
in Chinese.
This is really a translation problem. You should bring it up with the
Chinese translation team. See
http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/translation/registry.cgi?team=zh_TW
It's possible that the Chinese (Traditional) translation team may not
be able to fix this problem because it's inherent in the language.
You might try emailing address@hidden
James.
