The fact that you mailed bug-textutils means that you are probably due for
an upgrade; textutils were merged into coreutils, with the latest stable
release of 5.97 and a stable candidate of 6.2.

Is info installed?  What error message did you get, if any?  This sounds
more like an installation issue on your part than a coreutils bug.  But it
is not bash's fault if 'info cat' doesn't work due to a missing 'info'
program.
