Java Installation

Dear Sirs,
I am facing a problem in installing the java software to work with
MozillaFirefox 1.7 ... hope to help
1- I am using SUSE 10
2- My Java already installed but the Shell console reject to make a link
between the java and Mozilla
3- My java available in the following directory
"/usr/java/jre1.5.0_04/plugin/i386/ns7"
4- My MozillaFirefox avaliable n the following directory
"/opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins"

What I did ...
1- install the Java software at my laptop and be sure it did work
2- Enter to MozillaFirefox drive "/opt/MozillaFirefox/lib/plugins"
3- Try to establish a link with the java "ln
-s/usr/java/jre1.5.0_04/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so"
4- Always I got the following message "No such file or directory"
