dd man page block size

The dd man page doesn't directly say how to change the size of a BLOCK.
It says
       ibs=BYTES
              read BYTES bytes at a time

       obs=BYTES
              write BYTES bytes at a time

Though elsewhere it talks about BLOCKS.
So say "make the input block size","make the output block size"...
I didn't check the Info page.
