There is a special script, "reconfig", which should do everything to take a cvs copy and built a complete local copy out. Just use ./reconfig. It may report some errors, but that should work....however, if there are changes in a more recent copy of autoconf that causes that error I might have to restructure configure.in.

Hello,

I'm trying to use the cvs-version of commonc++, but I haven't managed it yet. Maybe someone can give me a hint. (I'm new to cvs/autoconf/automake, but I try to learn)

This is, what I have done:
- I set my CVSROOT to :pserver:address@hidden:/cvs
- I did a cvs checkout commoncpp. This checked out the files
- I run 'aclocal -I m4' in the commoncpp-directory
- I run 'autoconf'; this gave me the warning: configure.in:21: warning: AC_COMPILE_IFELSE was called before AC_MINIX
- I run 'automake'; this created a configure-script
- I run 'configure --prefix=/usr'; this gave me a error: 'sed: can't read confdefs.h: No such file or directory'

I stopped here, because I feel, that there is something wrong?
