There is a special script, "reconfig", which should do everything to 
take a cvs copy and built a complete local copy out.  Just use 
./reconfig.  It may report some errors, but that should work....however, 
if there are changes in a more recent copy of autoconf that causes that 
error I might have to restructure configure.in.
