Hi Paul,

We actually need flex, not lex, so I had to strengthen
the configure test.  And I might have made it an error
unnecessarily.  Yet, because I want to extract the examples,
and run them, on the user side, I feel anyway more comfortable
with requiring Flex.

Do you think this is really an issue?  I figured that someone
installing Bison is very likely to have Flex.
