Need Assistance

I received an email from Paul Eggert asking for the "make check" to be run in 
the bison build directory.  There were a plethora of errors, attached as 
res.tar.gz.  In the instructions it also asked for the testsuite.log.  The only 
one found was in the tests subdirectory.  It is also in the res.tar.gz bundle.  
Alos attached is the bison tar file from which we are trying to do a build.  
This file was downloaded from the GNU home web site.
