Actually, the release process automatically updates from the same place
that libtool does, namely the upstream config project
(http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=config.git;a=blob_plain;f=config.guess;hb=HEAD).
If the latest config.guess does not recognize your platform, then
report that to address@hidden

Also, the gnulib project keeps an up-to-date clone of config.guess. If
you use gnulib, then you can use the 'maintainer-makefile' module to
guarantee that your project will always have the latest config.guess,
even if the version shipped with the most recent automake release is not
up-to-date.

Employer disclaimers cannot be enforced on a publicly-archived list,
therefore it is considered better netiquette to use an alternate email
account in order to avoid raising potential legal problems.
