But the region buffer is not temporary (at least in the past it stayed
around), and neither is the region file.
See my other reply: I've tried using `with-current-buffer', with
`get-buffer-create' and `insert-file-contents' instead of
`find-file-noselect' but the results were not very satisfactory.
