Why should it be explicitely represented? AUCTeX works with any TeX
system as long as the executables are in the PATH. Usually only the
viewer configuration needs some tweaking.

Windows does not ship with a pre-installed TeX distribution, so there is
no default. However, many Windows users use MiKTeX as their TeX system
of choice.

AUCTeX files should not be changed. It is better to make changes in a
personal configuration file.
What exactly is not working in your case?
