Variable: del.psnup \
   #?o!cat!psnup -#v #?V||-q| #?j|-d|| #?r||-c| -p#p!

breaks n-up priting of pdf files, giving

$ touch foo.pdf
$ a2ps -2 foo.pdf
psnup: paper size '2' not recognised
[foo.pdf (pdf, delegated to pdf2ps): failed.  Ignored]
[No output produced]

Thanks for reporting this bug. The change was bogus (I mistakenly thought at the time that #p meant "page size" whereas of course it means "page range"), and also unneeded (contra to my commit message at the time, psutils 2.x (and now 3.x) supports the -w and -h arguments). I should have known better, since I wrote psutils 2.x.

I shall make a new release of a2ps with this change undone forthwith.

Afaict del.psselect already does the page range selection?

Indeed it does!
