problem for make install

Dear sir:
  I downloaded  a2ps-4.13.tar.gz for my Linux system. I run the following 
commands follwong the :
1.gunzip a2ps-4.13.tar.gz;
2.tar xvf a2ps-4.13.tar;
3. cd a2ps-4.13;
4. ./configure;
5. make;
6. make install;
The message came out is

7. a2ps THANKS |lp address@hidden 
 address@hidden is a printer I usually use to print via local net. However 
there 
came an error message like

Status Information:
 sending job 'address@hidden' to address@hidden
 connecting to 'localhost', attempt 1
 cannot open connection to localhost - Connection refused
Make sure LPD server is running on the server
[Total: 2 pages on 1 sheet] sent to the default printer
ps: nothing to print

   Can you help me to resolve this problem?
