Because it was my understanding that we would stick to being
ansi2knr'able. The message you are referring to is ansi2knr'able. I
was still on

But if it is true that GCC is going ISO C, then Michael, this is
probably the right time to promote the version of bitset we have in
Bison, as Paul put a significant amount of efforts into it. And it's
been tested on many architectures now, included 64 bits.
