Hello, I am pleased to announce a beta-quality release of Bibledit for Microsoft Windows 32-bit. This release was built using the MinGW toolchain. Many common crashes are fixed now, it is considerably more stable than previous betas. Release notes: * Requires Windows XP or later. Might work on 2000, but some functionality might not (taskkill/tasklist). * Git remote repositories require git-pull, which is a Unix shell script. I will (soon) bundle GNU bash and try to test that out. For now, assume that git-pull won't. * Certain script checks might not work yet. * Resources are broken (NextBible, Sabda Web). Closing their windows will crash Bibledit. * Spell corrector seems broken. * Printing requires a PDF reader (Acrobat 9 tested). * Help system requires Windows Outpost running to launch the web browser. * Windows Outpost works for PDF and URLs. Untested with BibleWorks. Please test this on production projects, now that the git integration is functional. As with all Free Software, it comes with no warranty for suitably for any purpose. https://thedennisons.org/~dand/bibledit-3.6.zip |
