I just tried a build of GCL on Fedora Core 5.
It fails as follows:

Unrecoverable error: Segmentation violation..

gcc: gcl_arraylib.c: No such file or directory
gcc: no input files
cat: gcl_arraylib.data: No such file or directory



gcc --version
gcc (GCC) 4.1.0 20060304 (Red Hat 4.1.0-3)



The version of gcl is the one called gcl-2.6.8pre in the axiom/zips
directory. I'm now going to retry the build using gcl-2.6.8pre2 
which is a slightly later version. If that fails I'll check out
the HEAD and try that.
