'xhost +'

  debian:/home/wspage/axiom# xhost +
Xlib: connection to ":1.0" refused by server
  Xlib: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key
xhost: unable to open display ":1.0"

Yes, I am running remote vnc access to a virtual framebuffer
device on my debian linux box. Other X applications are working
fine (such as Mozilla) and Axiom graphics did work fine in this
environment prior to the patch-24 upgrade.
