[Axiom-developer] GCL-2.5.2 build

Camm,

The version I'm porting to the various HP systems is GCL-2.5.2
(mostly because I'm doing many things in parallel and 2.6.1
is on a different thread of work). 

I get warnings (not errors) of the form:

cmpcall.c: In function `LnkTL124':
cmpcall.c:1949: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break 
strict-aliasing rules

The message is output hundreds of times during the build for many files.
It does not seem to affect the result but I'm passing it along anyway.
