I believe that a PC parallel port programmer is slower than serial programmers.
But (as already metioned in thread [avrdude-dev] Bad programming speed on
AT90S8535 using AVRdude) I have got the problem if I use the simple Pony Prog
dongle programming speed for an AT90S8535 is very different by either using
Pony Prog 2000 ( 30 seconds ) or AVRdude 4.1.0 ( 135 seconds! ). Thus, it must
be possible to increase the programming speed for AT90S devices as far as Pony
Prog is able to manage much faster programming times.
