Auto-generation relied on a process that used to sit on top of 
the older XML description files, which had to be converted into 
avr-libc XML first (for polit^H^H^H^H^Hlegal reasons).

With the new (and much more self-consistent) XML format, it ought 
to be easier, but nobody bothered to rework the autogen script 
for that so far. :-(
