| I am running the AVR toolchain on OS X as we speak and if you don't mind Makefiles, it's not hard at all to set up. It's even fairly easy to setup an X-Code document from which you can compile, etc just as you do for native stuff (you still have to know Makefiles though).

Do they run an ARM inside, or what? I figure with a Linux PDA, you could just use CVS to do your synching, if the PIM was stored as text...
