You mean, other than `automake --add-missing' (or, short: -a)?
not really.
Or is it that you'd need something like
automake --add-missing --install-even-if-i-do-not-use-automake
yes. (for some projects i don't use automake, but i want to symlink
some of the (relatively better-maintained) files from its library.)
