syntax error near unexpected token 'AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE.... |

Hello all,
Does anyone know what the likely causes of this error are? This occurs
when I run configure after running autoconf on the project. I cannot locate
any general answer to this question anywhere. I have Autoconf 2.13, Automake
1.4-p5, and libtool 1.3.5. My input files follow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am having a tough time getting
going with these tools, and all the documentation is leading me around in
circles with very large circumferences.
Thanks,
John
