I have just uploaded patch release 5 from the automake-1.4 maintenance
branch. The tarball is available now from:

? ? ? ? ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/automake/automake-1.4-p5.tar.gz

Or as a a diff or xdelta against the previous release:

? ? ? ? ?ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/automake/automake-1.4-p4-1.4-p5.diff.gz
? ? ? ? ?ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/automake/automake-1.4-p4-1.4-p5.tar.xdp.gz

...and shortly from all GNU mirror sites. ?Or else directly from anonymous
CVS using the tag `Release-1-4-p5'.

The changes in this release since version 1.4-p5 are as follows:

        * Allow AM_PROG_LIBTOOL again.
        * Diagnose AC_CONFIG_HEADERS the same as AC_CONFIG_HEADER.
        * Display distributed file list correctly in usage message.
        * Allow numbers in macro names.
        * Bugfixes.
? ? ? ? ?
This clears the backlog of patches against the 1.4 maintenance branch.
Famous last words: I expect this will be the last maintenance release from
the branch between now and the release of automake-1.5...

Cheers,
? ? ? ? ?Gary.
