On a second thought, why not have AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR accept more than
one argument?  Already suggested in:
<http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/autoconf/2011-12/msg00037.html>
Better than to have Yet Another Macro ...

Doing this in aclocal *right now* would be trivial, and then it would
just be a matter of updating the Autoconf documentation to state that
AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR can accept several whitespace-separated arguments
(that's because AC_CONFIG_MACRO_DIR expands to nothing and has no side
effects -- it's only there to be traced by other tools like aclocal
and autoroconf, as stated in the autoconf documentation).

Autoconfers, WDYT?

  Stefano
