[PATCH] spelling fix for automake.texi and texinfo tweek

Hi.

The spelling fix ...
longeur --> longer

The texinfo tweeks ...
Sentences ending in capital letters should use an "@" before the
period. This affects the spacing of the printed output.

A couple of the texinfo tweeks I've might not be absolutely
required, but I'll send the patch and let the maintainers decide.
