    Testsuite: new vars `$PATH_SEPARATOR' and `$APIVERSION'.
    * tests/ ($APIVERSION):  New AC_SUBST'd variable.
    ($ACLOCAL, $AUTOMAKE): Use it.
    ($PATH_SEPARATOR):  New AC_SUBST'd variables.
    ($PATH): Use it.
