OK, let's go with that, as it is a more-conservative change from Autoconf 2.71. I installed the attached, which is close to what I proposed earlier except it leaves help-extract.pl alone (i.e., help-extract.pl continues to use Perl 5.10 features) and it adjusts some commentary.
